KIDICAL Mass happens every month in the Bixby Knolls area of Long Beach. What a great event for everyone.  Kids, parents, grand parents, aunts and uncles, friends.  Anyone and everyone is welcome to join this monthly event.

Each month Kidical Mass, sponsored by Bixby Knolls Business Association, takes you on a short journey through the great neighborhoods of  Bixby Knolls and the Los Cerritos.  This months four mile ride attracted over 50 people, a significant number of them under 10, for leisurely four mile ride.

The ride starts and ends at George’s restaurant on Atlantic Avenue and immediately goes onto the adjacent quiet residential streets.  Blair Cohen, head of the Bixby Knolls Business Association, started the ride  over two years ago.  His idea was to highlight the beauty of the area and show people how easy and safe it is to ride in the Bixby Knolls.  He also knew that getting more people on bikes would be good for business.  And it has succeeded.  More people are biking in the neighborhood and to the local businesses.

Next month is the annual Father’s Day Ride.  Bring your dad, your grandpa, your uncle….  And wear a tie..
