For general information on the series, the location and schedule see below.
The El Dorado Park Twilight race series is one of the longest running bike races in the US

The series, which  runs each Tuesday evening from March through the end of August, is contested on a 1.7 mile closed loop in Long Beach’s El Dorado Park.

The race attracts some of the top racers in the region including former Olympians Steve Hegg and Tony Cruz and several state and national champions.

This is also a great place to get started racing.  The course is safe, with four wide turns and no traffic.

There are 4 categories each night:

  1. 1-2-3
  2. 4-5
  3. Masters (40+)
  4. Juniors (2 categories 10-13 and 14-18).

The Junior Series is sponsored by Corridor Recycling…with prize money to the top 3 finishers in each junior category ($30, $25, $20). At the end of the season the junior with the most points will receive a top of the line frame.  We believe that this is the richest Junior series in the country.

All of the criterium events are run under USACycling permit number and thus a USACycling racing license is required.  A one-day license can be purchased at El Dorado or a full years license from USACycling.

Cost and Start times

The cost for the event is $15/night.  Juniors race for $5.

The event starts at 5:30 in March and moves later as the days get longer.  Check out the for the current time.

TT Series

Throughout the summer we also run a Time Trial Series.  The event is 6 laps on the 1.7 mile course for a total of about 10 miles.  The event is run one hour prior to the start of the crit.  The event is a non USACycling Event, thus no USACycling license is required for the TT.

The map below shows the location of the event.
